About the Author
The Story
Q.K. Petty was born in Mobile, Alabama in 1990. He graduated from the University of Alabama, where he ran track and played football, before a diagnosis of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy ended his athletic career. That turning point redirected him toward storytelling; a different kind of competition, one fought on the page.
Today, Q.K. writes across urban fantasy, thrillers, and romance, crafting stories that dig into the deeper meaning behind life's challenges and the qualities that bind humans together across cultures. He's the author of the Rift series, beginning with Reach (2019), and A Series of Four Seasons — True Winter (2022), Indigo Spring (2024), Dark Summer (2025), and Sweet Fall (2025) — a relentless blend of urban fantasy and psychological thriller for fans of Leigh Bardugo and James Rollins.
